Transfusion medicine in Bangladesh has expanded remarkably in recent years. Today both public and private hospitals offer a wide range of services including blood grouping, component preparation, apheresis, PRP therapy and advanced immunohematology.
The Blood Transfusion Society of Bangladesh (BTSB), a non-governmental, non-profit, membership-based professional organization with over 200 members, plays a central role in shaping the country’s transfusion ecosystem.
